- 2Wipe around the igniter electrodes and burner caps, since dried spills block spark and flame.
- 3Make sure burner caps and grates sit flat in their seats, because a tilted cap kills ignition.
- 4Dry the glass touch panel fully with a towel, then wait a few minutes and try again.

Do you work on both gas and electric cooktops?
Yes. We service sealed gas burners, coil elements, radiant glass tops, and induction units. Each type fails differently, so we bring test tools for spark modules, element resistance, and control board voltage instead of guessing at the cause.
My glass cooktop has a crack. Can that be repaired?
Cracked ceramic glass has to be replaced, not patched. Stop using it, because spills can reach live elements underneath. We can check whether a replacement glass top is available for your model, and what else was damaged.
Is an induction error code worth a service call?
Often, yes. Codes usually point to cooling fan trouble, an overheated power board, or a sensor reading out of range. Some clear with a power cycle. If the code comes back, the part behind it needs testing.
Why does one burner ignite when I turn on a different one?
That usually means a shorted switch, or a spark module firing on the wrong channel. Moisture and grease inside the control area cause it too. It has to be opened up and traced, not just cleaned.
Can you repair a cooktop built into a stone countertop?
Usually. Many repairs happen from above once the burners or the glass are lifted, or from the cabinet below. If the whole unit has to be swapped, we talk through the counter clearance before anything gets cut or pulled.
How should I prepare for the appointment?
Clear the counter and the cabinet underneath so we can reach the wiring and the gas line. Have the model number handy. It's often on a label under the unit or in your paperwork. Note when the problem started.
