A cooktop quits in small ways first. One burner clicks and clicks without lighting. A radiant element glows, then goes dark halfway through dinner. Induction throws an error code and shuts the zone off. Under the glass or behind the knobs, the usual culprits are igniters, spark modules, surface element switches, burned control boards, cracked wire harnesses, and touch panels that took a humidity hit or a lightning surge. Our visit starts with questions, then testing. We check power at the terminal block, resistance on elements, spark at each electrode, and gas flow where it applies. You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it before we order a part. Call us and describe what your cooktop is doing.

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
Yes. We service sealed gas burners, coil elements, radiant glass tops, and induction units. Each type fails differently, so we bring test tools for spark modules, element resistance, and control board voltage rather than guessing at the cause.
Cracked ceramic glass has to be replaced, not patched. Stop using it, since spills can reach live elements underneath. We can check whether a replacement glass top is available for your model and what else was damaged.
Often, yes. Codes usually point to cooling fan trouble, an overheated power board, or a sensor reading out of range. Some clear with a power cycle. If the code returns, the underlying part needs testing.
That usually means a shorted switch or a spark module firing on the wrong channel. Moisture and grease inside the control area cause it too. It needs to be opened up and traced, not just cleaned.
Usually. Many repairs happen from above once burners or the glass are lifted, or from the cabinet below. If a full unit swap is needed, we talk through the counter clearance before anything gets cut or pulled.
Clear the counter and the cabinet underneath so we can reach wiring and the gas line. Have the model number handy, often on a label under the unit or in your paperwork. Note when the problem started.
Describe what you see, hear, or smell. Buzzing, leaking, burning, or dead silence. Model number helps if you can find the sticker. We ask a few questions and book a window that fits your day.
A technician comes to your kitchen or laundry room, tests the machine, and finds the actual failed part. You hear what went wrong in plain words, then decide whether repair or replacement makes better sense.
With your approval we complete the work, then run the appliance through a real cycle before packing up. Floors get wiped, packaging leaves with us, and you get care tips for our salt air and storms.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the symptoms and we'll book the visit — takes about a minute.
